79 shows into the year! How to keep it fresh!

One thing that can be really hard as a band that plays 2-3 shows a week is keeping the sets tight but fresh and exciting. Its a bit of a balancing act at times because you will get asked to play the same songs again and again, so mixing in the classics with a sprinkling of the very new is key to a happy client, crowd and band. One trick we have developed over the years is to work with our clients before the events to find out what they love thats new to us! not necessarily "new" but new to us. We can then happily learn and freshen up our sets and the client gets a perfect night. We all win!
